Procurement Engineer – Construction

We are hiring a Procurement Engineer – Construction to help ISC Group source and procure materials, equipment and subcontracted services for construction projects in Egypt, connecting technical project requirements with reliable supply and commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and tendering: Review engineering drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material specifications; identify requirements and issue RFQs to approved suppliers.
• Technical and commercial evaluation: Compare supplier quotations against specifications, budgets and delivery requirements and prepare clear bid comparisons.
• Negotiation and award: Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and subcontractor conditions.
• Vendor management: Maintain and expand approved supplier records and evaluate quality, reliability and on-time delivery.
• Material approvals: Coordinate material samples, technical data sheets and compliance documentation with engineering teams for consultant/client approval.
• Expediting and logistics: Track supply, manufacturing and shipping schedules to support project milestones and resolve delivery issues.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or an appropriate engineering background for construction procurement.
• Relevant procurement experience within construction or civil engineering projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier coordination skills.
• Supply chain certifications such as CSCP, CPIM or CIPS are an advantage, not a requirement.
