Will repainting a damp wall solve the problem?
Paint may hide the staining temporarily, but it does not remove the moisture source. Diagnosis and treatment come before the final finish.
Does damp always mean the waterproofing has failed?
No. Plumbing leaks, condensation and inadequate drainage can also cause damp. The inspection should identify the source before a treatment is selected.
