Alamein Downtown Lagoons
Lagoon waterproofing systems and associated works.
View projectISC Group installs waterproofing and geomembrane lining systems for artificial lagoons, ponds and water-containment structures in Egypt. We coordinate substrate preparation, membrane installation, seam testing, penetrations and protection with the approved project design.

The design should consider water chemistry, exposure, temperature, movement, basin geometry and maintenance access. HDPE, LLDPE, PVC or another specified membrane may be appropriate. Geotextile protection, anchorage and interfaces with concrete must be considered alongside the membrane itself.
A lagoon liner is part of a complete containment system. The approved specification determines the material, thickness, seam method and acceptance tests; a product name alone is not enough to select a system.
Suitable thermoplastic membranes may use fusion welding. Depending on the system, verification can include air-channel tests, vacuum testing and destructive seam samples. The approved method statement governs the test procedure and acceptance criteria.
ISC Group’s published portfolio includes lagoon waterproofing systems and associated works at Alamein Downtown Lagoons in New Alamein City. The portfolio identifies the New Urban Communities Authority as owner, China State Construction Engineering Corporation as client and EHAF Consulting as engineer.

View projectNo. Basin geometry, movement, liquid chemistry, exposure and protection requirements affect the selection. The designer and approved project specification determine the suitable membrane and thickness.
Accessible defects may be repaired with compatible materials if the liner condition permits. The cause of damage, condition of nearby seams and the repair test method should be assessed first.
Provide the location, drawings, area, depths and slopes, intended liquid, substrate information, penetrations, specified membrane and required completion sequence. These details help define the installation and quality-control scope.
