Crystalline treatments for concrete waterproofing
Work includes surface preparation and the specified treatment of defects, joints and penetrations. Application conditions and curing follow the product requirements. Moving joints and structural defects need their own approved repair or waterproofing detail.
Concrete preparation and treatment limits
The concrete is cleaned and prepared for the selected product. Honeycombing, voids and leakage points are repaired, while joints and penetrations receive separate details. Crystalline treatment works within the concrete’s pores; it is not an automatic substitute for repairing structural defects or accommodating movement.

Does crystalline treatment repair moving cracks?
Moving cracks require assessment and a treatment that accommodates their movement. A crystalline coating alone should not be assumed to provide that treatment.
How does it differ from cementitious waterproofing?
The treatment mechanism, system build-up and application conditions differ. Selection depends on the concrete, water exposure and technical requirements of the approved product.
